Gwahaju On is an 18.5% ABV fortified-style spirit from Gangwon-do that distinguishes itself through the addition of deodeok (mountain bellflower root). Glutinous rice and nuruk form the fermentation base, and added spirit raises the ABV while preserving a surprisingly smooth texture. The deodeok lends a savory, earthy root-vegetable depth rarely found in sweeter traditional pours, creating a uniquely herbal profile.
