경주교동법주

Gyeongju Gyodong Beopju is a 16% ABV cheongju from Gyodong Beopju Brewery in Gyeongsangbuk-do, crafted from Korean glutinous rice following a recipe designated as Important Intangible Cultural Heritage No. 86-3 — one of Korea's most significant traditional brewing lineages. The glutinous rice monopoly creates a distinctly viscous, silky body that clings to the glass. The nose opens with steamed glutinous rice and a faint osmanthus-like floral note from the extended fermentation. On the palate at 16%, the texture is flowing and elegant, with a honeyed grain sweetness that never becomes heavy, balanced by a gentle astringency that appears at the finish. Winner of the 2016 Korea Traditional Liquor Awards Grand Prize. The generous 900ml bottle is sized for ceremonial and celebratory occasions. Serve at 12-14°C with hoe (raw fish) where the silky body enhances the fish's delicate texture, or alongside hanjeongsik where the drink's pedigree matches the formality of the table.
