Korean Traditional DrinkOmokdae
오목대
Omokdae is a 5% ABV grain-based craft drink from Jeollabuk-do, brewed by Dongmungeori Brewery using domestic barley, domestic malt, maltodextrin, hop pellets, yeast, and refined enzymes. While structurally similar to craft beer, its identity is rooted in Korean grain fermentation tradition, using barley grown in Jeonbuk rather than imported malt. The hop addition is restrained, providing a gentle bitterness that complements rather than masks the barley's natural toasted character. Named after the Omokdae pavilion in Jeonju — a historically significant site from the Joseon dynasty — the bottle is designed for communal table settings.
