14-Degree Purple Sweet Potato Makgeolli is a striking 14% ABV makgeolli from Gangwon-do, brewed with rice, fermentation starter, yeast, and purple sweet potato (jasaek goguma). The purple sweet potato contributes both visual drama — a deep violet hue — and an earthy, roasted sweetness that sets this apart from standard rice makgeolli. At 14%, the body is considerably denser and richer than typical 6% pours, making this a makgeolli for savoring rather than casual drinking. The grain depth from rice and the root-vegetable warmth from sweet potato create an unusually layered profile.
