Baekgu Makgeolli is an 8% ABV spiced makgeolli from Hantong Sul Brewery in Gyeonggi-do, distinguished by a bold aromatic profile built from Sri Lankan cinnamon, honey, roasted dunggulle (Solomon's seal root), and licorice alongside rice and seolhyangguk (a fragrant nuruk). These botanicals turn an ordinary makgeolli into something approaching a spiced dessert pour with genuine complexity. The honey adds floral sweetness, cinnamon provides warm spice, dunggulle brings an earthy roasted note, and licorice smooths the finish. At 8% ABV, it remains easy to drink yet stands out immediately in any tasting lineup.
