안양동동주
Anyang Distillery in Jeollanam-do combines domestic fresh rice with eco-friendly glutinous rice to produce a 6% dongdongju in a generous 1,700ml format built for communal pouring. The glutinous rice adds a chewy, sticky-sweet dimension that plain rice alone cannot reach — think warm injeolmi (rice cake) dissolved into a milky pour. Floating rice grains bob at the surface in true dongdongju fashion, adding visual charm and textural pops between sips. The 2013 Korea Traditional Liquor Awards Encouragement Prize confirms the recipe's polish. Serve well chilled alongside a spread of modeum-jeon (assorted pancakes) or with spicy nakji-bokkeum where the plush body absorbs the chili heat.
